Lexicon 2005-2007

Some of you, possibly all three of you, might notice that a couple of things have changed at the Green. While most of the wallpaper is the same, I've had to remove the Lexicon sidebar item. I liked having the Word of the Day RSS feed over there, but to get it to display nicely in the side bar layout, I had to pass the feed through the RSS Box Viewer. With that, one can basically get a simple javascript line of code to substitute for the actual feed. Now, that's a slick little tool, but setting that thing up was a complete pain in the butt that probably took me an hour of trial and error before I got the right color match for background (the custom hex value, mind you) and size mapped out. If I had been smart, I would have copied the line of code from my old blog template before I upgraded to the new drag and drop layout tools that Blogger has provided. However, in my defense, Blogger told me that I'd be able to view and/or revert to my old template if I so desired. Silly me for believing them because I cannot for the life of me find where this is possible. R.I.P. Lexicon.
